Working with NHS Wales colleagues to support organisations to ensure a future workforce supply, the Workforce Education Development Service (WEDS) manages the national NHS Wales Careers service.
Taking the lead on promoting the range of career and training opportunities available in NHS Wales, WEDS works closely with stakeholders to deliver:
- The NHS Wales Careers website;
- The NHS Wales Careers Network;
- The management of national events, such as SkillsCymru; and
- An advisory service
WEDS has formed key working relationships with a number of partners, including Careers Wales and Jobcentre Plus, who play a pivotal role in delivering careers information on behalf of NHS Wales. To maintain local networks and enhance the advisory service, WEDS manages the annual adviser events; ensuring advisors/work coaches hold accurate labour market information about NHS Wales to deliver to their clients.
